Sarah Spencer is a professional visual storyteller.
When she is not drawing in her studio, Sarah’s quick wit and magical drawing skills capture live, of-the-moment stories as they are told. Sarah listens to speakers and storytellers and draws out the meaning from the spoken word.
Audiences are delighted to be part of the creation of live, visual art, and the speaker is amazed to see words represented visually.
Sarah’s craft in drawing derives from her love of comics. Before Sarah was old enough to read, she rushed to get a hold of the Sunday Funnies. The pictures communicated even when the words did not. In those days, she waited impatiently for her father to finish his first cup of coffee so she could sit on his lap while he read to her.
Sarah holds a BA in graphic design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Professional Project Management Certification from PMI.org. She is an experienced creative thinker and doer across many disciplines. Sarah is highly sought after to simplify complexity through her deep thinking and specialized craft. Sarah is a published illustrator and writer, award-winning designer, creative workshop facilitator, graphic recorder, graphic facilitator, and process designer.
