Air Control Air Conditioning, Inc, was founded in Lake Havasu City in 1990 by Jim and Alice Jensen. 

A second-generation A/C man with more than 35 years in the industry, Jim has built Air Control into one of the largest and fastest growing Heating, Ventilation &Air Conditioning (HVAC) companies in all of Western Arizona.  And he did it the old fashioned way — through hard work and a determined commitment to excellence across the board.

Buying a new furnace or air conditioner is not like buying a new refrigerator that you bring home and simply plug into the wall.  The unit itself is only one part of the system.  But the right system includes many other components, including ductwork, registers, grilles, dampers, accessories, etc.  Furthermore, each HVAC system, even before it’s installed in your home, needs to be custom-designed, measured, balanced, and adjusted to ensure maximum efficiency during the long
life of the system.

The undisputed leader in energy efficiency technology, Air Control utilizes the very latest computer software to precisely calculate a home’s A/C load.  Called Manual J, this computer software enables the contractor to factor in several variables — such as square footage, windows, number of bedrooms, roofing, insulation, indoor temperature ideals, appliance load, home orientation, etc. — to precisely determine what sized A/C unit is appropriate for a specific home.  This ensures that the homeowner will receive the properly sized equipment, resulting in not just energy efficiency, but financial savings for the contractor and/or homeowner.  The computerized worksheets can also show how a small investment in upgraded insulation and more energy-efficient windows, for instance, can eliminate the need for a larger tonnage A/C unit — once again saving the contractor and/or homeowner a substantial amount of money.  

Yet that’s only half the story.  Understanding that the proper design and installation of the ductwork is just as important in ensuring efficiency as the right-sized A/C unit, Air Control is the only HVAC company in western Arizona that utilizes ACCA-accredited software to actually custom-design each home’s ductwork — as opposed to merely installing one-size-fits all equipment.  Air Control is also the only regional HVAC company to be air balance-certified by the National Balancing Institute.  What does this mean to you?  As a contractor, it means the design and installation of the entire system — unit, ductwork, and all — is done right the first time, every time.  As a homeowner, it means that the air flow in every room of the house will be custom set to your unique needs.  It’s the perfect combination of energy efficiency and optimal comfort.  

Air Control also sets the standard of excellence when it comes to employee education and safety.  Leading the way     when other companies follow, Air Control has on staff an authorized OSHA trainer who regularly trains every field technician about safety standards — which is virtually     unprecedented in the industry.  To stay on top of every new equipment or technical breakthrough in the HVAC industry, every field technician attends two training classes per week.  Throughout the year, Air Control sends its services techs to factory locations across the country to receive additional training as well.  And, of course, every employee at Air Control is regularly drug-tested.
