"The Fun Place To Fly"

Don & JudyDon and Judi Roth, Owners
Don has had a long career in agriculture and land development. He fulfilled a burning desire and learned to fly in the 70's. He haslogged over 4800 hours in single, multi and rotorcraft, flying all over the country.  Over the years he has used aviation in his business as well as pleasure.

Judi also learned to fly at the same time and they enjoyed their passion of flying, together. They have successfully raised 4 wonderful children who are all married and raising families of their own. With retirement not in their vocabulary and always looking for a challenge, they searched for an aviation related business.  This led them to purchase Arizona Aviation in January of 2008.  They have enjoyed meeting pilots and prospective pilots, and love seeing them pursue their goals in aviation!

I became interested in flying at an early age when my dad would take me up and let me feel the controls. I did my flight training at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where I earned Private Pilot, Instrument rating, Commercial Pilot, and Certified Flight Instructor certificates. I have been working at Arizona Aviation for almost a year and a half. I have recently earned my Multiengine Instructor (MEI) license. I enjoy what I do and really like to see the progression a student makes while working with them. I have had several students successfully make it through and earn their Private Pilot license. I always try to make my schedule work with my students and enjoy being around the airport and talking about flying.

Bob Feugate, CFI, CFII, MEI
I initially earned my Certified Flight Instructor certificate in 1977 and have been an active instructor ever since. I received my Instrument rating, Commercial Pilot License, and initial Certified Flight Instructor training through the Cochise College Flight School at Sierra Vista, AZ, and Multiengine and Instrument Instructor ratings with Augusta Aviation in Augusta, GA.

My academic background is in electrical engineering, which I taught at the university level for many years. This experience shaped a teaching style that is based on logical cause-and-effect principles. While I instruct in all of the airplanes in the Arizona Aviation fleet, I am especially fond of tailwheel training in our 1946 Cessna 120. Learning to fly a taildragger will make anyone a sharper pilot - and besides, it's just plain fun!

Mark A. Culbertson, CFI, CFII, MEI

Having made a midlife career change several years ago, aviation is all I do, it's all I think about, it's my obsession, it has taken over my life! Flying is possibly the ultimate blend of art and science. I'm proud to report that in the past year I've had the privilege of helping some two dozen pilots realize their goals at all levels from Private to Airline Transport Pilot.

These days, I specialize in Instrument, Commercial, and Multiengine training as well as phase checks, flight reviews, and recurrent training. This is a wonderful adventure! You say you have a dream? With hard work and dedication (and of course a sense of humor!) on your part and ours, we can make it happen for you!
