BOTOX®

Botox Cosmetic injections for wrinkles are quick and virtually pain-free. If you are considering injections for wrinkles, Botox may be just the answer. Let the Arizona Skin Institute give you the treatment advice you need with a free consultation. Our goal is to give you a younger, more refreshed face that looks natural.

Botox injections are recommended to help with:

Minimizing frown lines between the eyebrows
Reducing horizontal forehead wrinkles
Helping with crow’s feet around the eyes
Lessening Wrinkles on the upper lip
Minimizing bunny lines around the nose
Normally the Botox treatment lasts up to 3 months and takes 24 – 48 hours to take effect.

Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes, collagen depletion, or damage caused by free radicals. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between  your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet.

Botox works beneath the skin’s surface and targets the underlying muscle activity that causes frown lines and crow’s feet to form over time. Results may vary by client

CHEMICAL PEEL

Chemical peels enhance the appearance of the treated skin with a more youthful texture and a uniform coloration that will blend with their untreated skin.

The most common candidate for a chemical peel is a person with sun-damaged skin, uneven pigmentation, and/or actinic keratoses. Sun damage results in fine wrinkling, skin thinning, sun spots (liver spots or solar lentigines), and very early precursor skin cancers called actinic keratoses. Skin peels may also be used to treat acne scarring

MICRO-NEEDLING

Micro-needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new skin rejuvenation treatment that is comparable in results to skin rejuvenation lasers – but without the downtime or cost! This treatment allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin, which triggers new collagen formation and improves fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and acne scars. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin!

The process for micro-needling is carried out with the DermaPen, an automated pen that is made up of multiple miniature needles. The needles pierce the upper layers of the skin causing pinpoint injury, which has two major benefits: successfully stimulates collagen formation, and provides a clear channel for creams and gels to be absorbed effectively through the top most layer of skin. Micro-needling creates only minor trauma, which lasts for a short period of time and does not result in bruising or swelling in the treated area

PRP THERAPY

Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) is an amazing new technology which lets us take your own blood, extract powerful platelets and infuse them back into your skin. The platelets release growth factors that have been shown to accelerate the healing process by enhancing the proliferation of stem cells, increasing the production of collagen, stimulating blood flow, and reinvigorating cartilage.

Some of the areas that respond to PRP therapy include:

Fine wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet)
Acne or sunspots
Loose skin on the neck
Stretch marks or scars
Skin Discoloration
Wrinkles on forehead and lips
The PRP process:

Trained Arizona Skin Institute staff draws blood
Blood is placed into a special centrifuge and is spun at a very rapid rate to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood
The separated platelets are combined back with the plasma and reactivate when place back in your skin
Platelet-rich plasma is similar to HA fillers because it can be injected to sculpt the face. But, here’s the best part: not only does the PRP cause an increase in the volume, PRP contains at least 8 growth factors that will, over a long period of time, continually work like a rejuvenating agent. By activating these growth factors, all 3 parts of the aging process improve:

The skin color becomes a “younger” color because of new blood vessel formation
New collagen formations in the dermis lifts the face back to a more youthful shape
Loose skin on the neck
Stretch marks or scars
Skin Discoloration
Because the growth factors are working to build a new dermis, the epidermis (the outer most layers of your skin) appears smoother
VAMPIRE FACIAL®

Using micro-needling and PRP therapy, this facial improves fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sun damage and scars. The growth factor-rich topical PRP solution is applied to the skin before and after micro-needling and is effectively absorbed, further enhancing your results, stimulating collagen production and waking up the skin at a cellular level.

VAMPIRE FACELIFT®

Using Juvederm and PRP therapy, this facelift combines the science of the hyaluronic acid filler and growth factors and stem cells derived from your own blood to smooth out wrinkles, stimulate collagen production, and rejuvenate your complexion.

The Vampire FaceLift is a minimally invasive procedure, similar to that of a filler treatment. The procedure begins by obtaining the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) from the your blood. Using a fine needle, your provider will ease the PRP and Juvederm under the skin to fill the soft tissue of the dermis. This adds volume, diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and nasolabial folds, improves the skin’s appearance, and stimulates the production of collagen, with only minimal downtime.

By combining Juvederm and PRP, the effects of the treatment are dramatically enhanced. Not only does PRP cause an increase in volume, PRP contains at least 8 growth factors that will, over a period of time, continually work like a rejuvenating agent. By activating these growth factors:

The color of your skin improves and looks younger, because of the new blood vessel formation
New collagen formations in the dermis lifts the face back to a more youthful shape
Because the growth factors are working to build a new dermis, the epidermis (the outer most layers of your skin) appears smoother
