Kirk Emerson Horton, Master Automotive Technician Kirk Horton, Your Personal Mechanic founded Auto Mobile Detective in 2004 as a Mobile Automobile Diagnostic Service here in Fountain Hills. Through word of mouth his knowledge, skill and honesty gained him a customer base that warranted opening a full service garage by 2005. Kirk began his long career as a technician at Dighton/Rehoboth Vocational High School graduating in 1976 with a certificate in Automotive Technology; at that time all vehicles had carburetors and points, he maintains his expertise and is very capable of repairing classic vehicles. Kirk is now an ASE Certified Master Technician; He earned an Associate Degree in electronics at Sylvania Technical School. Kirk has had factory training at Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Honda and Hyundai and has worked in many capacities at large dealerships and independent shops.



Andrea Horton, Receptionist
Andrea assists Kirk with keeping the front office in order.  Andrea graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BSN, RN in Science. Andrea gave up assisting people with their health to work with Kirk in their small business.  Her knowledge base about automobiles continues to grow.  She loves living and working in Fountain Hills and has enjoyed getting to know many of our customers.



Marcus Hunter, LI Master Automotive Technician
Marcus is an ASE Certified L1 Master Automotive Technician Advanced Level Specialist.  He holds an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Automotive Technology from Arizona Automotive Institute, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.  While attending AAI, He received the AAI Director’s Commendation, also Honors Student of the Phase multiple times.  Marcus continues His education by attending Technical Training Courses with topics of Engine Management, Steering and Suspension, plus Hybrid Vehicle Service.  Marcus has enjoyed working at Auto Mobile Detective with Kirk since 2006.
