THINK GREEN
1. The average toilet uses 3.5 gallons per flush. If it’s flushed 5 times a day that is 6387.50 gallons per year. The water saving toilet using 1.6 gallons per flush will use only 2920 gallons per year. The most common toilet is the gravity fed low flow toilet. There is also a pressure assist low flow toilet that uses air to assist the flush. This is a great flushing unit, but is more expensive to buy and maintain. The electric power assist low flush toilet is relatively new to the market and uses 120 volts. I think simpler is greener and the gravity fed low flow toilet is the best value.
2. A conventional shower head will use 4 gallons per min. A 10 minute shower will consume 40 gallons of water. A water saving shower head using 1.75 gallons per minute and will consume 17.50 gallons per 10 minute shower.
The Rodgers family has built in Arizona since 1925. Our first project was the historic First Presbyterian Church in downtown Phoenix. During the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s the company went on to build many homes in the Phoenix area and on Camelback Mountain.
Our founder's two sons continued the family business during the 1960s. One son focused on commercial building and worked on the Phoenix Zoo and the Beeline Dragway. The other son continued building and renovating homes. By the 1970s, more than half the business consisted of residential remodeling projects. Our current owner, Carson Rodgers, joined the company in the 1980s. He learned every task in the business working side by side with his father.
