We are a family-owned law firm, established in May of 1986.

We practice probate law, focusing on estate planning (powers of attorney, wills, and trusts), trust and estate administration, trust and estate litigation, and guardianship/conservatorship matters (contested and non-contested).

We know that your legal needs don't disappear because of the COVID-19 crisis. We are open for remote consultations and can provide remote services during this pandemic. If you are concerned about getting sick and you don’t have a plan in place for someone to take care of things for you, we help provide the peace of mind and security that comes from making legal arrangements for your care, if needed.  We also help clients arrange for the care/protection of incapacitated individuals in need of a guardian and/or a conservator.  Also, if you’ve lost a loved one, we can help you determine your rights and/or administer their estate.

Although we have limited face-to-face interaction, we can continue working directly with you via telephone and conferencing, email, and U.S. mail. If encrypted transmission of sensitive information is required, we offer our clients access to our online Client Portal. If you would like to schedule a conference, please contact us at (480) 821-1012.

We provide high-quality legal services and seek to solve our clients' legal problems in a professional and compassionate manner. When legal problems arise, we know that most people are concerned about costs and want to avoid incurring high legal fees. We offer a free initial 20-minute consultation and, when we are hired, we provide cost-effective legal services, while seeking common sense solutions to resolve our clients' legal problems. We recognize the value of each and every one of our clients, and acknowledge their right to competent and effective legal representation. Rest assured that your legal issue is important to us and you will be treated with dignity and respect. We will give you our undivided attention as we listen to your concerns and will take them into consideration as we work toward developing a solution that makes sense for your particular legal situation. We are utilizing COVID-19 precautions and conducting remote consultations via teleconferencing or by phone. Contact us if you are looking for professional, experienced probate attorneys.

PROTECTIVE PROCEEDINGS, PROBATE, AND ESTATE PLANNING

With offices located at 601 North Alma School Road, Chandler, Arizona and founded in 1986, the firm has served the community from the same location for over twenty years.

DO YOU HAVE AN 18-YEAR-OLD OR AN OLDER LOVED ONE WHO NEEDS A GUARDIAN?

When someone reaches the age of 18, they are legally an adult.  Arizona law presumes that every adult is capable of making responsible decisions regarding himself or herself, unless a court determines otherwise.  If you have an older adult who is incapacitated, or if you have a teen who has reached adulthood and needs a guardian, the attorneys at Decker & Woods stand ready to help you determine a course of action to assist your loved ones. We have worked in the probate courts since 1986.  Our attorneys are well-respected in the probate bar and know how to navigate that system.  We are just a phone call away at (480) 821-1012.

HAVE YOU LOST A LOVED ONE AND NEED HELP HANDLING THEIR ESTATE?

We understand that when you’ve suffered the loss of a loved one, having to go through the process of administering a probate estate or a trust can make an already stressful situation worse. The caring and compassionate attorneys at Decker & Woods are here to guide you through the process.  Call (480) 821-1012 and we will help you through these difficult times.

DO YOU HAVE A MINOR WITH ASSETS NEEDING PROTECTION?

Our experienced attorneys can help you put in place the proper protections needed to ensure the safety and protection of a minor’s assets. You give us the facts and we will help you develop a plan for those assets to make sure they are secured for the child’s future use.  Call (480) 821-1012 and set an appointment to meet with one of our attorneys.

DO YOU NEED AN ESTATE PLAN, A WILL, POWERS OF ATTORNEY, OR A TRUST?

People don’t like to think about dying, but tomorrow is not promised to anyone.  If you die without a will, those you leave behind will not only suffer while grieving your loss, they will also have to devote time and attention to gathering your assets and deciding who gets what.  This can lead to many problems, including in-fighting, and can cause an enormous amount of distress, delay, and expense as they go about dealing with your estate. If you don’t have a will in place at the time of your death, you will have opened up the possibility of a long and protracted legal battle between your relatives, friends and partners. The only way to ensure that your loved ones will benefit from your estate according to your wishes is to leave instructions as to how you want things.  This is done by preparing a will.
