Our History:
While we have been operating as Dei-Zinz’ since 1994, our history in the floral and tropical foliage industry goes back to the 1970’s when we opened our first live plant nursery, landscaping and floral shop. The experience gained there provided a tremendous foundation upon which we built Dei-Zinz’ into Arizona’s leading provider of fine, handmade artificial botanicals. From 1985 to 1994 our business was as a wholesale supplier to national commercial accounts including grocery chains, Home Depot and the Pace Membership Warehouse. Today we are proud to list among our loyal customers numerous residences (single and multi-family), commercial offices, city buildings and restaurants, throughout the valley. More recently we have expanded to providing select items nation-wide and to Canada, where we look forward to cultivating similar trustworthiness with our growing list of national clients.
Our Products:
Dei-Zinz’ foremost specialty is handcrafted silk trees – we build over 60 varieties up to 16-feet tall, all on natural wood trunks. This is not an assembly-line operation and, because of characteristics Mother Nature builds into the wood, each tree is unique. The end product is a distinctive tree that may be shaped to perfectly fit into any desired location.
Complementary to our handcrafted silk trees, we also design and construct exclusive cactus and succulent gardens and silk floral arrangements in styles ranging from Southwest, traditional, tropical, Tuscan and Asian, to cutting-edge contemporary and all styles in between.
We also offer a line of standard, pre-made artificial botanicals similar to our handcrafted products. These items are typically imported either fully or partially assembled and, though they are a bit more common, are excellent choices for cost-effective decorating solutions.
Of course our product offering would not be complete without accessories and accents. In addition to pottery, vases, urns, sconces, wall hangings and other accessory décor, we are especially pleased to showcase original art by several local talents.

About Our Owner:
It seems Brenda Laskoskie was born to bring you the most realistic artificial botanicals imaginable. Spending her childhood in the Big Thicket region of East Texas cultivated in her an innate appreciation for the beauty of nature. After graduating from Shelton’s School of Floral Design in Houston Texas, she and her husband owned and operated nursery, landscaping and floral businesses in the Houston area where she expanded her knowledge of tropical/indoor plants and fresh flower design. On moving to Arizona Brenda realized that the dry climate made the culture of live indoor plants extremely difficult. This encouraged her to apply her knowledge and talents to creating permanent botanicals that would provide a natural appearance, free of maintenance concerns. She has definitely accomplished that. Her eye for realism, her attention to detail and a fetish for quality are apparent in each of Dei-Zinz’ creations. She is proud of the reputation that she and the Dei-Zinz team of designers (especially Daydre, her daughter who has been in the business with her for 21 years) have garnered as the leading provider in the industry of quality permanent botanicals.
