Furniture Plus

Furniture Plus first opened in 1983 in a small rented house on East Southern in Mesa Arizona.

 A large storage shed was built in the back for our warehouse.

Every day we would move furniture out front on a slab of concrete we poured in the yard. This was our showroom. It was a great way a getting attention to our store from the passing cars. We sold a lot of Furniture out of that little house. We had such a low overhead we sold Furniture at a lower price that anyone. We often thought about moving into a shopping center like some of the other Furniture stores in the area. We knew however if we did that our overhead would go up and we would have to raise our prices. Then we would be just like all the other stores. 

Finally in 1989 we purchased a building from Houge Printing. We did some remodeling and moved into it a short time later. When we were finished we had a lot more room to display our furniture. We were still able to keep our overhead to a minimum and continue to offer our low prices. Our business really began to grow and in 1997 we were able to purchase additional land to the East and add more showroom and warehouse space. This is our store today in beautiful Mesa, Arizona. We have almost 20,000 square feet of showroom to display our furniture. We offer name brand furniture at a low price. We keep our overhead to a minimum,offer excellent customer service, and have a great sales staff. 

Our philosophy of doing business at Furniture Plus is simple "Lower operating costs mean lower prices" We are not paying high lease rates like many of our competitors. We own our own building and have a very modest mortgage payment. This allows us to keep our prices lower than our competition. We offer quality name brand furniture at a low price We have a great staff of people to work with, and we have excellent customer service. This has been a combination that has worked for Furniture Plus for the past 21 years. One of the first things you well see different at Furniture Plus is our catalog and order center.
