In 1987, an opportunity presented itself for John to introduce Green Keeper toArizona.

  This was a pivotal opportunity for him to direct his visions of lawn and desert care in the Valley and introduce a suite of services tailored to southwest plants found in landscapes across the Phoenix Metro area.

John has some definite ideas about what has made him successful over the years which can be summed up in two words: customer service and quality.  When customers hire Green Keeper, they can count on a partnership dedicated to meeting their needs.

John received his M.S. in Plant Science from Utah State University, and is currently a member of PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network.  Green Keeper has also been a member of the Central/Northern Arizona Better Business Bureau since 1988.

We provide weekly, bi-weekly & monthly maintenance in selected areas of the East Valley.

Using micro-nutrients through injection or granular topical applications, we can reverse the "yellow fronds" and bring back the beautiful green you had previously.

Our technicians use only licensed products for use in residential environments. We apply a pre-emergent to elminate more weeds and top kill the current weeds. We guarantee the treatment for 6 months.

We treat olive trees annually to inhibit fruit production. The tree must be healthy and spraying must be done between February & March each year.

This landscape, while easy to maintain is not "Maintenance Free." We work with homeowners to properly water low maintenance trees and shrubs. We control weeds by using environmentally friendly herbicides. We prune at the proper time during the season.

The "only way" to rejuvenate compacted turf. The process allows oxygen to get to the roots and stimulates new growth. We recommend aeration at least every-other-year.

Summer weather encourages the rapid growth of nutsedge (nutgrass). Treatment in turf requires a specific herbicide applied to to four times/season. Success is often achieved in as little as 3 seasons.

We plant perennial ryegrass in October so that your landscape remains green through the winter months. Bermuda will go dormant in cooler weather. Once established, water needs of ryegrass are low.

Pearl Scale affects many hybrid bermuda lawns in the Metro area. Treatment is done in May-June-July. Insecticide and soil sulfur is applied. Additional soil sulfur is recommended during the winter months.

Green Keeper is NOT a licensed contractor for irrigation repairs. However, we regularly repair valves, breaks in irrigation lines, diaphragms, sprinkler heads and emitters, timer malfunctions, etc. We have over 10 years experience with irrigation repairs.
