Services We Offer:
DELIVERY
Every sod order is cut fresh just for you and then delivered right to your home, landscape project, or business. All deliveries are made throughout the night, from approximately 5:00 pm to 7:00 am to ensure freshness, especially in our hot summer months, so sod's available to put down in the morning.
INSTALLATION
Let our experienced installation crews install your sod. When we install, we pre-fertilize your soil with a starter fertilizer, install sod, cut around borders and sprinkler heads, remove sod scraps, and go over freshly installed sod with lawn roller to give it that finishing touch.
STOLONIZING-SPRIGGING
Stolonizing/sprigging is usually done for smaller areas. Stolons are applied over loose dry soil. When stolonizing, Green Valley Sod will pre-fertilize, apply mulch and stolons to soil, go over stolons with stolonizer, and then water. This is how sod farms establish their fields of turf. It's a great economical way to have a premium sodded lawn. You have your choice of Tifgreen, Santa Ana, Tifway 419 or Midiron Turf.
HYDROMULCHING, HYDROSTOLONIZING
These are basically the same procedure, two different names. When hydromulching, you're taking stolons. Stolons is turf cut from the sod farm and then put through a "shredding" machine. With stolons you're getting all part of sod, grass clippings, roots, runners, and rizones. You're growing your own turf. This is how sod farms are started. With large areas, stolons (or also called sprigs), fertilizer, mulch, and tactifier are put in machine and then sprayed on soil. Procdedure is done like hydroseeding, except instead of using seed, we're using stolons.
HYDROSEEDING
Hydroseeding is primarily used for large areas. Premium Bermuda Seed, along with fertilizer, mulch, tackfier are put in hydroseeding maching, then spayed onto soil. A green "mat" covers the area, so you can readily see where mixture has been applied. With hydroseeding, the seed along with mulch, fertilizer, and tactifier create a perfect enviroment for the seed the grow. In winter months, hydroseeding can be done with winter rye grass. Hydroseeding can be done in ball fields, parks, green belts, schools, and retension basins.
