The history of the IMS private medical cloud solution.

In the beginning of 2007, our founders were deeply involved in the medical industry, working side by side with physicians as operational and technology architects. As we observed the high costs and technical struggles that a medical practice faces on a day to day basis, it became very clear there was a need for a highly efficient, highly secure and cost effective private medical cloud solution.

We first developed the Iron Cloud, a cloud infrastructure for the radiation and medical oncology arena, but then realized that a managed cloud solution, able to store, share and protect critical applications, as well as patient data, was something that was needed across most medical disciplines. In 2009, we launched the Managed Medical Cloud, enabling software companies, that didn't have the resources or time to develop their own, the ability to offer a private-labeled cloud solution to their customers. Since then, some of the largest software providers and hospital groups have taken advantage of Iron Medical Systems' superior capabilities to meet their goals and objectives.

For us, it's personal. Almost every member of the IMS team has been personally touched by cancer - either as a survivor or caregiver. This has brought about an unmatched sense of urgency and dedication to our mission, that everyone on our team is deeply invested in, and shows clearly in our Core Values. We understand the importance and responsibilities that medical centers have to stay updated with the current advances in software and treatment. Through our cloud solution, we are committed to providing the best possible patient care and outcomes, while decreasing the cost and complexity normally associated with this type of technology.
