Mr. Nebgen's bio

Mr. Nebgen has been practicing entertainment law as a copyright attorney and intellectual property attorney for close to twenty (20) years. He has been involved in the entertainment industry for over forty (40) years. His clients include film, television and theatre companies, actors/actresses, musicians and many authors and painters. He counsels clients regarding business formation, intellectual property matters in motion pictures and music copyright laws and trademarks, contract negotiations, and other corporate law matters. Mr. Nebgen has also been called as an "expert witness" regarding entertainment issues in various litigation matters.

As a producer, among other credits, Mr. Nebgen was the General Manager at The Lambs Theater, located at 44th Street and Broadway, in New York City. Mr. Nebgen also produced such prominent Off-Broadway plays as the 20th Anniversary Revival of "Fortune and Men’s Eyes" and "Bert Sees The Light", which featured Jack Black in his New York theatre debut. Mr. Nebgen worked on such Broadway productions as "Lettice & Lovage", starring Tony Award winner Dame Maggie Smith, and Andrew Lloyd Webber productions of "Cats" and "Aspects of Love".

Currently, Mr. Nebgen is producing a modern adaptation of “Othello”, and a short film of the W. H. Auden poem, “The Shield of Achilles.” Mr. Nebgen produced a one-week special engagement of "JUDY: Gumm To Garland", which starred Paige O'Hara, in April of 2014. Most recently, Mr. Nebgen produced the Grande Fest in Casa Grande, Arizona in October of 2015.

Mr. Nebgen is the Executive Producer of ShowBiz AZ, Arizona's only television/internet production devoted entirely to the Arizona entertainment industry.

Mr. Nebgen teaches Entertainment Law at a variety of colleges including Mesa Community College, Art Institute of Phoenix, and Central Arizona College. with an emphasis on copyright protection. He has lectured extensively on Entertainment Law matters at numerous seminars and symposiums. Mr. Nebgen received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in Religious Studies, graduating summa cum laude. He then attended The University of Texas School of Law, where he co-founded The Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law ("TRESL").
