John was born and raised right here in Phoenix.

His mother says as a child he was always taking things apart to see how they worked and then putting them back together. She claims he installed his first radiator at the age of 9.  It’s no surprise that he grew up and went to college to be a mechanic.  He worked at a Cadillac dealership while going to school and once he graduated he became a service technician there. During his 28 years there, John worked very hard, took every opportunity to learn, bought the latest and greatest tools and gadgets, met his wife, and made great connections with coworkers and customers alike... and yes, he basically lived there as much as he worked. For years family and friends begged John to open his own shop. After much persuading and possible pleading from his wife, John decided to take the big leap and open Lowery’s Garage! John’s goal is to provide the highest quality, most honest service possible at a fair price. When you meet John you’ll understand why we almost called it "Honest John's Auto Repair".
