It became a reality in 2009 when the Federal Government through the passage of “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act” which made solar not only the responsible thing to do, but economically possible. Solar 1440 was formed as an Arizona limited liability corporation specifically to bring experience, integrity and innovation to Arizona’s residential and commercial solar markets.
Principles:
Michael R. Hayes - is Solar 1440’s qualifying party with over 25 years of commercial electrical experience and owner of the highly respected Arizona company, Sonoran Electric. Sonoran Electric is the primary installer for Solar 1440 projects and is continually educating their staff to the ever evolving world of solar photovoltaic electrical power generation.
Joe Placone - is a civil engineer and owner of a JMI & Associates for over 20 years. JMI engineered and designed pre-sites for developments such as: Circle Cross Ranch - 1000 acre master planned community; Terravita - 800 acre master planned community; Superstition Mountain 700 acre planned community and many more.
Mike Hermann - is a mortgage broker and owner of Opyne Capital Corporation financing home improvements and solar systems since 1986. Mike prior to owning his own mortgage company worked for many of the major banks like Wells Fargo Bank, Citibank, First Interstate Bank and Merabank.
David Anderson - General Manager with over 20 years in construction management experience in Arizona and he brings integrity and quality to Solar 1440 and every project.

Gort Metals Inc. - Solar 1440’s focus on those businesses that can make use out of solar ports inevitably brought it to Gort Metals Inc. Gort Metals, Inc. has been designing and installing carports and metal buildings for over 25 years. They are the largest solar commercial solarport manufacturer in the southwest. All designs meet or exceed current Uniform Building Code requirements and stamped by a State certified structural engineer.
