Southwest Farm Services and SFS Trucking, Inc. are still first generation family owned companies.
Mike (President) and Dee (Sec-Treasure) have been married for over thirty years. They reside in Buckeye, Arizona, with their two Australian Shepherd dogs (Bo & Luke), two goats (Whalin & Willie), and three horses (Leo, Pedro, & Belle).Mike grew up farming and working in the family commercial sheep business. He started his own farming and custom hay harvesting business at the age of 20. Mike received his American Farmer Degree in 1978. Dee took care of the bookkeeping responsibilities and managed the household along with their three sons Mike Jr., Vincent, and Eric. The last ten years her focus has been on advertising and promoting Southwest Farm Services. Over the past thirty years Mike and Dee have participated on numerous 4-H and FFA committees. Today the entire family participates in the day to day operations of the two companies.Mike Jr. the oldest son graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Business Administration. He is our people person and is in charge of Sales and Distribution. His wife Dusty received her degree in Photography from Arizona State University. Her business is Lily Photography. And they welcomed their first child, Benjamin Michael.
Vince, our middle son attended the University of Advanced Computers & Technology and Arizona State University. The Transportation Industry is his specialty. He takes care of dispatching all the trucks and numerous other responsibilities.
Eric, our youngest son graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration. He came on board, taking over all the bookkeeping responsibilities and holds the position of Controller. Lindsay, his wife, also graduated from Pepperdine with a degree in Psychology. She is working on a Master’s degree from Arizona State University and is currently working in the education field.
