To achieve that goal, Russ Patzer and Joe Messner started Sun Valley Solar Solutions in 2006 to design and install solar electric systems for residential and commercial customers. Russ and Joe utilized their experience as engineers skilled in system design and system performance to develop a set of standards for installations. This means each customer gets the same result, every time, with quality assurance checks throughout.
All of our solar electric systems are installed by professional tradespeople with a minimum of 80 hours of training. In addition, co-owner Joe Messner has earned NABCEP PV-installer certification. This voluntary certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners is a complex and time-consuming process; NABCEP has only granted certification to about 50 other solar installers in Arizona.

Our systems feature panels that have been tested and proven to last 40 to 50 years even in extreme summer temperatures. High quality doesn't mean high cost, however.
