The Tempe Chamber of Commerce – Your Success Is Our Business

Our mission is to build an environment that enhances the economic vitality of our membership. We’ve always stayed true to this goal and to our commitment that “Your Success Is Our Business.”

We represent more than 1,000 members employing 74,000 people and have a professional, full-time staff dedicated to serving the needs of its membership. We regularly achieve success in providing a progressive business atmosphere by working with local and state government and civic organizations to create a positive economic climate for the community.

Weekly council and committee meetings, monthly business and networking programs and a host of special events, seminars, trade shows and conferences all serve to further strengthen the ties between the Tempe Chamber and the local community.

As we continue to work on behalf of our membership and the community, the Tempe Chamber invites you to share our excitement in celebrating our 100th anniversary. For a century we have been benefiting the community and its thriving business environment through our dedication to networking, advocacy, influence and professional development. We are proud to have been a partner throughout Tempe’s long history of growth and achievement and look forward to another century of making your success our business.

Visibility
Nearly 10,000 business people annually attend our events, seminars and networking opportunities including mixers, seminars, workshops, special events and important gatherings of political, civic and community leaders. Each event is a new opportunity to cultivate new relationships and maintain old ones.

Representation
Only the Tempe Chamber is lobbying local government officials on issues that directly impact Tempe businesses and is the recognized voice at state and national levels. We regularly review and take positions on legislation affecting the business environment.

Training
The Chamber is committed to providing educational programs through seminars, meetings and luncheons. The Business to Business Connection offers monthly business-related seminars during the Hot Topics & Lunch series that features expert instructors and incredible speakers providing up-to-date business information that can be applied to your professional life. The Chamber also offers a monthly program called Networking @ Noon to help establish and foster profitable business connections.

Information
Stay in touch with the many programs and events offered at the Chamber by reading the monthly The Business Advocate newsletter which features topical resource information, legislative action, marketing tips and more. The weekly Monday Morning Update e-newsletter is distributed to keep you updated with current happenings and events for the week. The Chamber also offers publications, directions and counseling services to help you start or grow your business.

Exposure
The Tempe Chamber receives thousands of information inquiries each month. In 2007, the Tempe Chamber website had more than 1.25 million hits and the office lobby had more than 4,000 drop-in visitors. 14,250 visitors called the Chamber requesting information and 1,875 relocation packets were sent out. An important fact to consider when looking at these numbers is that the Tempe Chamber only refers and sends information on its members.

Membership Directory
Chamber members are listed alphabetically and by business types in the annual Business Partner Directory. Copies of this directory are distributed throughout the business community and also in our Relocation Packets.

Website
Our website at www.tempechamber.org displays all members with a free link at www.tempechamber.org. We also offer opportunities for advertising on the website.

Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Opening Ceremonies
Members who start, expand or relocate their business can request an official Tempe Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate, promote or market the event.

Trade Shows
We host three trade shows throughout the year. This is a very cost-effective way to display goods and services to area businesses and increase your exposure and visibility. The East Valley Business Expo, the largest business-to-business trade show in the East Valley, is a partnership with the Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and Tempe chambers of commerce.
