In 1993, two aspiring entrepreneurs started a partnership doing business as That Paralegal Place and in 1995 established That Paralegal Place, LLC. In 1997, That Paralegal Place, LLC, became an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau and has remained in good standing since. Then in 1999, That Paralegal Place, LLC decided to incorporate and formed That Paralegal Place, Inc.
That Paralegal Place, Inc, joined with other Arizona paralegals in an effort to preserve the right to continue performing work for the public in a professional, non-lawyer setting. These were troubling times for many in the paralegal industry as that right was being challenged. Winning the right to work directly for the public lead to a great victory for both the public and paralegals alike.
Shortly thereafter, the State of Arizona established a requirement for all paralegals to be certified by the Arizona Supreme Court to ensure all prepared legal documents meet the expectations of the State. To meet this new expectation, the paralegals at That Paralegal Place, Inc. became certified to prepare legal documents for the public.
In an ever-changing world new obstacles continue to arise.
