A mission of caring...

From a very young age seniors have impacted my life. It all started with volunteering in a small neighborhood Assisted Living Home in Portland, Oregon. Each day I got to experience lifes many wonders and blessings through the many storied told by the seniors needing my care, love and attention.

Years later, my husband and I answered our calling to serve the senior community by opening our very first Assisted Living Home. Although competition was great, and we were strongly discouraged by our friendly competitiors we had a mission to not only make a positive difference for the seniors under our care, but set benchmarking standards for others to follow in the process. We knew we could achieve our goal by focusing on providing the highest quality of care and utmost attention to even the smallest of tasks.

Today and over a decade later, we are proud to be serving North Scottsdale's Senior Community at Upon The Rock. Our luxury assisted living residence in North Scottsdale has built a reputation on the same benchmarking standards we started with years ago.

The love of seniors started back when I was only 16 and volunteering in our neighborhood assisted living home, in Portland, OR. I found myself at school worried about the seniors instead of my upcoming test! That’s when I realized seniors really got to me, and have had me ever since.

Many years have gone by and much has changed, yet our love for seniors has only grown stronger with each resident we serve. Today, more than ever we are privileged to answer a higher calling, and care for each resident of Upon the Rock from the heart!

In doing so, residents can sleep-in mornings, enjoy fun energizing activities throughout the day and our signature* nightly bed-turn down service.  Our residents get to choose their shower day, laundry day, the softness of their pillow, aroma-therapy scent, nail polish color, happy hour drink, and even the room paint color!
