Bark n' Purr Pet Care Center (Sedona's Premier Pet Grooming and Boarding Facility) opened it's doors for business on December 22'nd, 1976. Joel Oestmann discovered his love of animals after working for a veterinarian throughout High School. He decided to attend veterinarian school, but after a year of college he was presented the opportunity to become the manager of the kennel. Three years later, he purchased the business.
Joel married his wife Jana in 1979. After grooming school, she became the manager of the grooming portion of Bark n' Purr. Joel and Jana knew that the grooming and boarding business would compliment each other greatly.
With their love for animals, they strive together to ensure that both customer and pet have the best experience possible.
