Thank you for inquiring about our company. Grady Hopson is the President and qualifying party for Grady's Quality Excavating, Inc. We hold an A-General Engineering contractor’s license (KA-Dual #ROC 154334). Our primary projects have been in the areas of road construction and paving; commercial building pads, utilities and infa-structure and paving of parking lots and driveways.
Over the past fourteen years, the company has grown from just one backhoe with one employee to multiple pieces of equipment; at times expanding to 100+ employees. GQE performs both commercial and residential work including utility installations, pad cuts, excavation of footings and piers, grading and paving of drives, lots and public roadways.
Between 1997 and 2002, Grady’s Quality Excavating Inc. has performed as a sub-contractor on the following projects in the Prescott area: Prescott Valley Town Hall; Outback Steakhouse, Powerhouse Gym, Discount Tire, Osco Drug Store in Prescott; US Post Office in Dewey; Bradshaw Mtn. Christian Assembly New Sanctuary, Fry's Grocery Prescott Valley, Harkins Theatre, Walgreens, Springhill Suites Marriott and the Albertson's Express. In 2003 & 2004, GQE contracted for: Best Buy, Super Wal-Mart, Cottonwood; Super Wal-Mart, Prescott; Chili’s and Roadrunner Fire & Safety Office Building. Between 2004 and 2007, GQE ventured into subdivision work with Antelope Meadows Commercial Center Phase I & II with Desert Development Corp. and Mingus West Phase III and Phase IV, a residential subdivision. In addition G.Q.E. constructed portions of Embry Riddle University Dining Hall; Prescott Fleet Maintenance Facility; Tim’s Toyota Center; Mayer Fire Station; Empire Machine Service Facility, CVS Pharmacy Prescott Valley; Prescott Valley Library and Yavapai County Superior Court.
Since 2008, Grady’s Quality Excavating, Inc. has performed a number of projects as a Prime Contractor including ADOT Highway projects and chip sealing of numerous roadways and highways.
