United Tissue Network

 United Tissue Network welcomes anyone to join our registry at all stages in life.

To create understanding at each stage we created the S.E.T. program.

United Tissue Network provides three ways to register, through the S.E.T. program:

Self-Registration
United Tissue Network is one of the first programs in the world to provide individuals the right to consent to their own donation and cremation. This type of consent is made when an individual is of sound mind and can make proper future decisions. United Tissue Network also encourages that the donor inform all family and friends about their decision to ensure their wishes are fulfilled. It is important to remember that this is a pledge and not a secure approval into the program. At the time close to passing or at the time of passing, United Tissue Network will need to be contacted to complete the donation process. This acceptance is decided after a medical-social history is complete.  

Registration is finished upon receiving a completion email from United Tissue Network. A Donor Pledge Card will be provided as a form of registration identification.

End-of-Life
End-of-life care refers to medical care not only of patients in the final hours, days, or weeks of their lives, but more broadly, medical care of all those with a terminal illness or terminal condition that has become advanced, progressive and incurable. If donation is chosen at the end of life, please contact United Tissue Network to discuss options about joining our program. Once we are contacted, our dedicated staff will guide the family through the donation process which will include a brief medical-social history. Once the family is notified by United Tissue Network that the donor is accepted into the program, the donor and family will receive a Donor Security Certificate which allows for the family to know their loved one has been accepted into our registry and will not be declined. 

The Donor Security Certificate will be provided electronically to you upon acceptance.  

Time of Passing
If donation is chosen at the time of passing, please contact United Tissue Network immediately. Once contacted, our dedicated staff will guide the family through the donation process which will include a brief medical-social history. Donor Services will notify the individual’s authorizing person within a timely manner regarding acceptance and will facilitate the removal from the place of passing.
