Hello and welcome!
My name is Laura Barnes.

I am the founder of YOUR POTENTIAL POWER and I am a fully certified Life Coach, qualified teacher and Reiki Master.

I was born and raised in beautiful England. I graduated from Exeter University in the U.K. with a B.Ed(Hons) majoring in English Literature and International Education. I have over ten years of professional experience in the field of education and training. I gained my Life Coaching certification in 2007. I am a heart-centered coach. I just love being part of a dynamic interaction that leads to those life changing, howl with joy, energizing revelations that create a shift in one's perception of the world.

I have traveled extensively all over the world and this enables me to confidently relate to a wide range of people from a variety of countries, cultures and backgrounds. I have lived in England, (where I was raised), Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and I currently reside in sunny Arizona in the United States. As you can see, I have a very high regard for diversity and adventure!

I made the decision to stay at home for six years and raise my son. This has been my greatest adventure to date and certainly my greatest accomplishment. I am blessed with a wonderful family.

I currently enjoy expanding my life coaching practice, YOUR POTENTIAL POWER. I can honestly say I love my work! I am also on the faculty of the Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona,  where I serve as an online instructor connecting with students across the world. 

I offer Reiki healing sessions on request. 

I balance my work life with an active role in my local community. I am a  Commissioner on the Town of Gilbert Human Relations, Culture and Arts Promotion Commission. I have also trained with the Gilbert Fire Department as a Community Emergency response Team member. I serve on the board of a local networking group, East Valley Connections and I offer one morning a week to serve in my son's school where I remain in awe of the incredible work and dedication of teachers. 

I continue with my life purpose, a journey of self discovery, through the dynamic and transformational work of life coaching.
